Shared rooms nobody owns

In a coworking space, the person at a given desk changes by the day and sometimes by the hour. No single member owns the coffee rings, the crumbs in the phone booth or the whiteboard still covered in someone else’s plan, so all of it lands on the operator. Members size up their membership by whether the room they walk into each morning looks reset.

Flexible workspace in Vallejo turns up in restored downtown storefront buildings and in office suites carved out of larger commercial properties. Whatever the building, the cleaning plan starts from the way members move through it: in at the door, over to a desk, back and forth to the coffee bar, into a booth for a call.

Hot desks and the open floor

Unassigned desks lose the day’s leftover mugs and sticky notes before each top is wiped from one end to the other, so tomorrow’s first arrival sits down to a clean surface. Crews wipe the shared charging hubs, the task lights, the arms of each chair and the monitor mounts, and vacuum beneath every row of desks, where cords and chair casters trap dust. Dedicated desks holding a member’s things are cleaned around and never rearranged.

The lounge couches have crumbs pulled from between their cushions with a crevice tool, bar-height counters have their fronts wiped where shoes scuff them, and the bookshelves and plant ledges are dusted. Carpet tile in the open areas carries a steady stream of rolling chairs, and spot cleaning plus periodic extraction through commercial carpet cleaning keeps the main lanes from going grey.

Phone booths, focus rooms and meeting rooms

A phone booth is small enough that one sticky shelf or a smudged door spoils the whole room. Crews clean the booth glass inside and out, the seat, the shelf and the light switch, and empty the little bins that fill with wrappers over a day of calls.

Focus rooms and meeting rooms have their tables cleaned, chairs pulled back into the layout you want, remotes and speakerphones wiped, and whiteboards erased unless a note asks to save them. Wall screens and the credenzas below them are dusted, leaving the room set for whoever reserved it next.

Coffee bar, kitchen and restrooms

The coffee bar is where members gather, so it gets a thorough pass on every visit. The espresso machine’s exterior, the kettle, the sink basin, the counters and the fridge handle are cleaned, drip trays are emptied and rinsed, and any mugs abandoned in the sink end up in the dishwasher rack. On a set day each week, the fridge is cleared of anything past the date the operator posts and the shelves are wiped.

Restrooms, and the showers some spaces keep for bike commuters, are scrubbed, then their towel, tissue, soap and liner supply is topped up. We deliver those through janitorial supplies, or the crew pulls from your own stockroom. For coffee, tea, snacks and drinks, breakroom and pantry restocking keeps the shelves full on a schedule of its own.

Private offices and member suites

Private offices belong to their tenants for the term, so each one runs on the instructions the operator gives for it. One team may want a full clean every night, another only trash and floors, and a third may ask that nobody enters unless they request it. Crews work from that list office by office, lock doors behind them and leave papers, screens and personal items exactly as they found them.

Late badges and evening events

Coworking spaces often stay open to members well into the evening. Crews show up in the window you choose and keep their noise down near anyone still typing away, beginning with the kitchen and restrooms and saving occupied areas for last. Spaces with around-the-clock access can split the visit between a late-night pass and an early-morning one.

Member mixers, workshops and launch nights leave a different kind of mess. Book an after-event clean and the crew puts the room back together, clears the catering tables and hauls out the extra trash before the morning crowd arrives. In daytime hours, a day porter handles spills at the coffee counter, restroom checks and quick resets of conference rooms between bookings.

From floor plan to zone checklist

Send a floor plan or a quick sketch of your zones: open floor, booths, meeting rooms, private offices, kitchen and restrooms. We tour the space with your community manager, note member hours and the zones that see the most foot traffic, and turn it into a written checklist for each zone that shows what happens every night and what comes around weekly or monthly. The same approach that runs our office cleaning is adjusted here for rooms that change hands all day.

Background checks cover every crew member who works your floor, and supervisors carry out quality inspections against the zone checklist. A certificate of insurance goes to you, with a copy for your landlord when the lease asks for one.

A few useful answers

Common questions.

Do your crews touch the laptops and notebooks members leave out?

No. Anything left on an assigned desk or inside a private office stays put, and crews clean around it. Desks meant to be clear overnight are wiped from end to end. Laptops, chargers and notebooks left on a hot desk are set aside on the desk, never moved to another room.

Can you clean up right after an evening member event?

Yes. Book the event clean for the same night and the crew resets the space, clears food and drink tables and empties the extra bins before the doors open in the morning.

Our members badge in until late. When does the crew arrive?

At the start time you pick, usually after your late regulars head home. If a few people are still working, the crew begins in the kitchen and restrooms and leaves the open floor for last.

Can you keep coffee, snacks and drinks stocked for members?

Yes, through breakroom and pantry restocking, a separate service that refills the coffee bar and snack shelves on the days you set.

Who checks that every zone was cleaned?

Supervisors run quality inspections, walking each zone against its written checklist and following up on anything missed with the crew.
